A seasoned Hematologist and Oncologist, Dr. Doki has been practicing in the Northern Virginia area for over 15 years, establishing himself as a pillar in a field increasingly dominated by hospital and venture capitalist acquisitions. Remarkably, his practice is one of the few remaining independent Hematology-Oncology practices in Fairfax, thriving under his leadership with an exceptional patient load.
Dr. Doki brings a wealth of global experience to his practice. After earning his medical degree, he gained expertise in diverse specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology, across three continents: India, Jamaica, and the United States. As a Foreign Medical Graduate, Dr. Doki achieved the significant milestone of being admitted to the prestigious University of California, Irvine, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency. During his tenure, he was honored with the role of Chief Resident—a testament to his exceptional clinical and leadership skills.
He further honed his expertise through a rigorous Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC), one of the most demanding programs in the field. At USC, he worked at renowned institutions like LAC+USC Medical Center, Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, and USC University Hospital, gaining exposure to a vast array of pathologies. His commitment to excellence earned him the Best Research Fellow Award in his second year.
After a brief stint in Frederick, Maryland, Dr. Doki boldly ventured into private practice, a path rarely taken so early by graduates. He established his practice in Northern Virginia, where he has since delivered outstanding outcomes, often surpassing national averages. His patients include those with stage IV malignancies who achieved remission and others with rare hematologic conditions who experienced significantly improved quality of life. Testimonials from his patients consistently highlight his dedication, compassionate care, and remarkable results.
In addition to his clinical achievements, Dr. Doki has devised the PrecisedHealth program, leveraging his global medical experience—from resource-limited settings in developing countries to resource-rich environments in the U.S.—to provide optimal, patient-centered care. His approach combines evidence-based medicine with a personalized touch, ensuring the best possible outcomes for his patients. Dr. Doki resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, Dr. Shirisha Janumpally, a Neurologist specializing in Sleep Medicine, and their two children: Arjun (16) and Neeraja (14).
